For those of you who got the album but didn't want it, Apple have released a one-time removal tool

Thank you Milvus, for some reason it has really irked me that Apple has put it on my phone and IPad without me asking for it (I wouldn't mind if it was just free for those who want it to get from the I-store thingy).

Thank you for that, but is it real or is it some sort of scam (it asks for my apple ID and password)?

It is real, from Apple, it will ask for your id because it will modify your iTunes listings. The address is also available from BBC news
Good album, it's really worth a listen to

I had a quick scan through the Album and thought there was nothing there to write home about - not one of their best!
Ye but the album’s release has also put a lot of U2’s back catalogue (conveniently on sale) into the top charts on iTunes: The music industry always expects new releases to spur the sales of old albums, but in this case iTunes buyers seem particularly receptive: Right now there are 17 old U2 albums on iTunes top 100 chart; a remastered version of “The Joshua Tree,” the band’s 1987 release, is at the No. 12 spot. Money, Money, Money! That's what it's all about.
Nothing has been their best since Joshua Tree still a good Album though

It never automatically appeared in my library, I had to choose to download it.

Isn't there a removal tool in iTunes anyway? - ie the delete function?
Ludwig - it automatically downloaded to my devices and there was no way to delete it (I got a 14 year old to check).

Interesting - I didn't know you couldn't just delete it. That is pretty annoying. If you didn't have much storage space you wouldn't want it being filled up with garbage you hadn't chosen.

I'm happy to have it but if it was Phil Collins or some rapper I'd be a bit miffed.
