Only came in to existence for me in the 70s ... firstly with the film " That'll Be The Day" ... then all his chart hits from that era. I went on Wiki & found this track he'd made in 1965! Blimey!

I saw him at the Palace Theatre in Manchester a couple of years back, he still has it ! A woman in the audience kept calling out to him, he had to ask her to shut up !

This track doesn't have his later style does it, doesn't sound like him, more polished & manufactured ... but may be right for that era?

My father used to have steam coming out of his ears whenever David Essex and Marc Bolan were on ToTPs.

He thought the very tight trousers they both wore too offensive for my sister :D
