Oh dear. I read his autobiography years ago. He had terrible drug problems - maybe that took a toll on his heart.

I met and interviewed Steve last spring for Vive Le Rock magazine - he was a charming man, very honest, and with mesmerising eyes. I had hoped to work with him again - very sad indeed.

Fade To Grey was a staple of my club dj'ing days in the late 70's - what a fabulous record, and a very sad loss.

The original rock dinosaurs have passed the baton of dying tragically young to a new generation. Shame.

I too remember Fade To Grey from my days as a DJ. I had to wait till it was released in late 1980 though.
