Has anyone heard Ireland's Eurovision entry, Playing With Numbers, sung by Molly Sterling, aged 16, and if so, do you think it has the potential to win?
I don't think they have a chance but if they did, a lot of the conversation on RTÉ last night was - should they be lucky enough to win and host it, it would be like the 'Gathering', it would bring Eurovision tourists to the country spending money and that makes up for what is spent on hosting the event - like I said though, I won't be backing it
I seen the Late Late last night and I'll never think Charlie Mcgettigan's songs will ever get anywhere - the one time he did win eurovision no one knew as riverdance momopolised the show in millstreet cork
I was about to post a link to 'Rock n Roll Kids' under the heading : 'Charlie McGettigan: A Warning From History' and then I remembered the YouTube links don't work for me. Relief all round
That was actually at The Point. Niamh Cavanagh won at Mill Street. And the year before it had been Johnny 'Why Me(why indeed)' Logan. That's the trouble with Irish winners. There have been so many they tend to become a blur :-)
I like her too, but there are more pontential winners, here is the official website of Eurovision 2015 and all the participants http://www.eurovisionaustria.com/.
