Radio or TV?

I quite like his radio show (other than the daft format of pretending to go down into the vaults of the building).

I only occasionally catch his TV programme and I admit that it can be a bit 'hit or miss' for me, although I still regard his Hootenanny as the best programme of the year!

He is one of the few people left to champion new talent so I have to admire him for that, but I can't stand his need to turn everything into boogie woogie.

My complaint, on the other hand, would be that we don't enough of JH himself (or with his Big Band). He's a far better musician than many of his guests!

He seems to be a very nice man. I've seen him live but I don't like his music, so I don't watch.

He promotes new talent of the dullard variety. All the acts last night were playing stuff I've heard a 100 times before. His show is getting like daytime radio 2....middle of the road yawnfest...

One of the few TV programmes that I watch, Melv. And it really is tired. Not the format, just the acts.

A lot of derivative thrash bands that can't get anywhere near people like The Foo Fighters, for instance. Oh, and my least favourite genre ........... so many "earnest" singer/songwriter troubadors.

I thought it was quite telling recently when Blur came back to show how to write good Pop, and how to put a set together.
