First Simply Red reform now we have a-ha back together for a new tour and possible new album.
Touring the UK in March 2016 with 'Cast In Steel' tour.
I love a-ha. Great song writing and catchy tunes.

Bands don't really split up anymore - they just take a break to recharge their batteries and reform after doing a final farewell tour. What's that all about???

Oh yes they did ??? What am I talking about.

Favourite a-ha song is Rolling Thunder.
I very much dislike Simply Red even after seeing them live at their height.
I was much more impressed by Terence Trent D'Arby as the just becoming known support act.
Love A-Ha though. Here's my favourite slowish one.

Strictly speaking, Simple Red have not 're-formed' because for a long time, the band has simply been Mick Hucknall and which ever bunch of musicians he feels like working with at the time, so all he has done is gather a new lot and got back into the studio.

As for A-Ha - whatever their reasons were for breaking up, they have obviously resolved them - often it's just a case of needing a break from each other, and that can often work well.
in 2000, a-ha covered savoy's "velvet".

the video for that was pretty disturbing.
