Having said that .......... I'd pay good money for Joshua Redman's autograph ;o) (Top jazz tenor sax player for those who don't know)
Also, hope you get to meet Huey Lewis. A really nice guy :o)

To be honest, I know next to nothing about jazz, or its appeal, but in the nest traditions of my writing career, I have blagged a slot with Jazz Journal Magazine, for whom I am doing a stack of interviews.
My very first interview for them was the bass player Christian McBride, which was a profile, and then they asked me to expand it into a full feature, and it's going to be on the July cover!
So, it's proof that you don;t have to understand something deeply to write about it, just be able to ask the questions from the people who do.
As well as jazz, they don lots of other stuff - Steve Miller played last night, and Pokey Lafarge is on next week, so lots of diverse music for everyone.
I am soooo lucky - and I do appreciate it!
