Although renowned for his vocal and guitar skills, Gracie suffered from inappropriate marketing by his early record label, who tried to push him as heart-throb.
Gracie's major recording hit was his song Butterfly which hit No7 in the US charts, but was eclipsed by a far more MOR version recorded by Andy Williams, which went to No1.
Gracie is still recording and touring today, and unlike many of his contemporaries who are living on past glories, he still turns out original material, and exciting live concert performances.
