There is an old legend that Jesus' uncle, Joseph of Arimathea, the man who took Jesus' body and wrapped it and put it in the tomb, was in the tin mining business. Tin was mined in the West of the UK and carried back to Palestine. It is said that Joseph brought the child Jesus with him on one of his voyages to England.
