Dont give up

I know this is little to go on, but any help appreciated.

Title and singer of song, only lyrics known: "Don't give up... " only I do not believe that is the title. While that line is being sung its only a tune on piano I think in the background and the line is sung by a female singer with quite a high voice.

They were playing this in the background during the latest X-Factor. I had heard it millions of time before that but not for a while and i now can't for the life of me remember it properly.

Sorry to be pedantic, but it's Peter Gabriel and Kate Bush - she guests on his song - that's why it's on his first album, not hers, and his Shaking The Tree greatest hits compilation.

"Don't Give Up" is not on Peter Gabriels first album, it's on his fifth, which is called "SO". His first four albums were all given the title "Peter Gabriel", his fifth was named, as in do,re mi, fa, SO.
