i know it is not the clarinet - but will google the oboe cor anglais - but truly it looks like an extra long recorder. off to google anyway. thaks

saxophones come in many variants, some of which look like very long
recorders

have googled a few there - and fiction's the nearest with the OBOE.

but this thing I am talking about just had the holes on the instrument just like the recorder rather than the golden buttons etc.

have looked at the cor anglais - they are much of muchness. I know I can't seem to grips with the left hand piano or left hand music but do think could learn to play one of these cos I played the recorder well when I was young. Truly loved the sound of clarinet but dont think I would have the puff.
