Well yes, gladly. Did It for Stoptober so another dry spell should be a breeze.
By the time January comes, I think I will be ready!
Yes - I`m not going on holiday until February.

Yes, there's that. After the excess of Christmas a month detoxing could be just what we need.
For me it would be simple, had it been Chocolate or caffeine I wouldn't last a day.
Went "dry" in January for more than 30 years. Started when I was still living at home with Mum & Dad. Went to the pub lunchtime on Christmas Day with Dad and Grandad. Drunk about ten Watney's "Stingo" barley wines. Returned home. Sat down to dinner, had to immediately repair to the kharzi. Violently sick for the rest of Christmas Day (dinner in the oven then eventually in the dog/dustbin). Felt dreadful for days ("never again will alcohol pass my lips", etc.). Only managed a few sips of orange juice on New Year's Eve then no more drink until February. It became a habit which I finally gave up after about thirty years. Did I ever regret it? Absolutely :-)
LOL, those Barley wines were powerful little devils wasn't they NJ.
I binged ob barley wine years ago - it made me see double, literally. Never again!
There have been periods in my life when, due to a severe lack of money, I've had no choice other than to go without alcohol for long periods. So I certainly know that I could do it.

However my social circle is so small (and, in some cases, tight-fisted!) that I'd raise hardly any money at all through sponsorship, so I won't be taking part.
I wouldn't be much of a drinker, I did stay completely sober for November, earlier this year never had a drop of alcohol, what I did notice about this link, the price of alcohol over in England, a glass of wine when I'm out having a meal is around €6 in a restaurant on the alcohol calculator is £18, I don't think I'll be ordering a glass of wine next time I'm in England. Saying all that, it's a great charity and any reason to give to any charity is worth it
In the 1980s, Whitbreads served Gold Label Barley Wine on draught in their pub next to the brewery. ('Brewer on the Bridge', Sheffield). I've seen many people staggering out of there after a few too many tipples ;-)
But at the same time, it is a bad month with several family members birthdays.
Makes it harder to join in the celebrations. February, it's Valentine's Day and pancake day. March, it's Easter!!!! I think April should do it for me.
I'm way past worrying about St. Valentine's day, St. Patricks's day is in March, even the Bishops knock back a tipple mid lent for that ;}

If it didn't say [i]"A month with one less sin"[i] making it sound like a religious nagging I would consider it, but as they chose to put it like that, no way!
Just about to type the same Balders. I do not consider myself a sinner. As a surviving ,hopefully, cancer patient I will generously pay into any cancer charity.Just after I married my 20yr old sister in law died of Leukamia.
I need no lecturesor preaching. I will drink as much as I like and NOT be made to feel guilty for doing so especially if it does not cause problems to my friends and family.
Good grief, 'Chico - I never knew they sold Gold Label on draught. That stuff is (I think it's still produced) lethal. Around 10% I think and very quaffable. Hopefully Stingo went to that great beer graveyard in the cellar along with the absolutely vile Watney's "Red".
^^^ 10.9% ABV in those days, NJ. Now sadly (or wisely?) only 7.5%

Such high ABVs aren't that uncommon these days anyway. Here's the current beer list from my favourite pub in London:
