In 1983, I was the first person I knew who bought a CD player....there wasn't anyone else I could borrow CDs from for ages !
The first CD I ever bought was Jessie Norman, singing the "Vier Letzte Lieder" by Strauss, conducted by Kurt Masur.
If you could wear out a CD by playing it too much, I would be on my 4th CD by now !
