I've taken the liberty of emailing the BBC with a request for the information, so as soon as I hear anything - positive or negative - I'll post back on this thread. Hopefully I'll hear from them tomorrow, the girl on the phone seemed hopeful that queries are answered quite speedily.

Thanks for the kind comments mum was 94 I wish I had asked her at the time what the song was but she liked all music except classical

I'm really sorry the info hasn't come through in time, though I'm sure you've come up with something that your mum would have liked to hear. I'll be sure to post any further messages I get from them, if for no other reason than to - hopefully- satisfy our curiosity!

The funeral today went well they played I'll be seeing you in all the old familiar places. Thanks to you all for trying
