As a boy in the 60's I worshiped Alvin Lee ! I saw him at the Isle of Wight Festival in 1970....here he is at Woodstock. Nobody, but nobody played guitar like him !

Orderlimit....I think he could be described as the guitarist's guitarist.
It was a huge shock for me to find out, last year, that he had died in 2013.

Indeed.

They played the inaugural Woodstock festival that year, and left a lasting impression as Lee led the band in "I'm Going Home."

Last summer, I met Thomas Crimble, late of Skin Alley and Hawkwind, in the course of my job and we both agreed that Alvin was quite unbeatable and shed a silent tear at his passing.

Mikey......I was at the IOW in 1970....I have been trying to trace the chap whose ankle I broke to apologise ever since....

Sunny Dave was there too.......but it wasn't him....I checked before we met for a pie and pint.....just in case.....
