Serge Gainsbourg

I am up in Edinburgh and went to see a show in the festival; the show was called Men in Coats and had a funky instrumental piece of music looped. I asked one of the performers and he said it was a loop from the beginning of a tune by Serge Gainsbourg, but he didn't know the name. Any ideas what tune it's from?

I'm not sure, of course, but try the album 'History de Melodie Nelson'. Which is pretty good anyway, as good as french albums about a creepy fascination with your own daughter can get. Loadsa sampley bits on here. Unfortunately the odious David Holmes also thought this....
