I don't think I've heard anything by the above artists (unless someone would like to jog my memory with a title or a few lines from a' well known' song)!!

Could someone describe what they sound like please?

Hey, Iv only heard a few songs by Anthony and the Johnsons. Theyv got a really unusual sound, the vocalist is East African I think, with a strong accent but with amazing vocal ability. The songs are haunting and exquisite, with alot of piano playing going on, which serves to accentuate the vocalists strange but very interesting sound. If ur gonna get one of their songs, make it: "Hope theres someone". Listen to it a few times, it'll grow on u.

Hi wispy,If you go to this site you can press on any track thats says mp3 and listen to the download.Sounds a bit like  nina simone.I think its a guy singing.Where did you hear about this band?(has mum sent a postcard yet) (:)

Thank you for your replies. Wow! Beautiful music. I think his voice would take some getting used to...very unusual. Not at all what I was expecting. I was under the impression they'd be some sort of Indie band (don't know why)!
