All I know of this work, also known as Kreutzer, is that Beethoven originally composed it for English violinist George Bridgetower. Later, following a break between Beethoven and Bridgetower, it was dedicated to a different violinist, the Frenchman Rodolphe Kreutzer, who, however, never showed any interest in the work, which he considered outrageously incomprehensible.
