Thanks for all the info. I know it is not about the country and normally only the first verse is sung but it is time we had a new one and don't mention Jerusalem leave that to the WI. I wont go into the grammar of ablative and possessive tenses. I sing it when required in my choir concerts/No further info needed. If people must sing it why not use the correct word as in the original and sing 'the Queen and not 'our' Queen One day we might have a real national song or anthem. Thanks all - no more information required.

Ive thought for a long time that the National Anthem should be sung only when the monarch is present.
