We where actually next to him on Thursday afternoon, in the Clinic , I was waiting to see the traumotologist (?) re. the wound in my hand from stabbing myself through my palm. He had his an arm in a sling and did not look very good, very unsteady on his feet, he was with his wife. Goodness me, I can't believe it, and now George Michael, who will be next ?
Very sad indeed.
I interviewed Messrs. Rossi and Parfitt separately and together, and they both shared a bone dry sense of humour and needle-sharp wit, as well as a healthy sense of self-deprecation - Mr Rossi informing me without a glimmer of a smile that he could play "Three major chords, AND three minor chords, so that is actually six chords in all."
They were both under-rated musicians and writers, and a fabulous live band.

Saw Quo in 1980. Was on my way to the toilet when someone tapped me on the shoulder and asked if I could take a young, blonde girl with me. Took her, very shy, and when we returned, she jumped up onto the soundcheck booth at the back. It occurred to me later that she'd looked just like Rick Parfitt!
Clarion, this has always been my favourite Quo track.
I always really fancied John Coghlan though!
