Hail the Villain, if anyone here knows them. Does anyone know what guitar he used in the Runaway video? And also does anyone know what gear he might be using?

What a shame they have split up, the sound wonderful, very Metallica, but their current haitus makes finding info difficult.
I have checked out the video, and freeze-framed the guitar shots, and I'm sorry I can't identify the particular brand of guitar Stamp is playing.
I would however pass on the advice I have heard from many wonderful guitarists (I write for Guitarist Magazine) - that owning your idol's model of guitar will not make you play and sound like him, which is a very good thing.
You must develop your own style and sound, and whatever you play that on is of minor importance, it's not the guitar that makes the music, it's you.

Murdo - //The guitar has a vague look of a purple burst Les Paul about it. //
It does have a look of the distinctive Les Paul shape about it, but it's obviously not a Les Paul - more likely to be ain independently designed homage to the definitive guitar, but there are hundreds of those out there, so it's difficult to pin it down.
