I don't listen to Radio 1 Extra too often but I dipped in today and heard this which made a refreshing change from the usual grime- it has a sort of Northern Soul vibe. I had to check it wasn't an oldie.

Smooth radio use to have a regular Saturday night soul show , which played stuff right across the soul spectrum .

It use to be one of the highlight of the week for me .
Then they dropped it for some reason .

Are there any stations who play regularily soul stuff now - anyone know ?
