Tuvok, nice song but it is not the trumpet salutations song I am thinking about. Thank-you.
"Tut, tut, tut, tut, ten - tut, tut, tut, the, tut ten"
That sounds familiar, can you give us a few more verses ?
It's the bit where the trumpet that goes "the" that I'm struggling with.
Where did you hear the music? And can you clarify what you mean by salutations in this context?
vivladi strumpet was v popular then
2 strumpets actually
some wag would probably say - duelling strumpets.....
Vivaldi is a good call- but it's more 1709 than 1970.
I started trying to hum this but keep coming back to No Limit by 2 unlimted. I'm not aware of a trumpet version though and it was 1990s
Fanfare for the common man?

Original by Aaron Copland and re-jiggified by Emerson, Lake and Palmer in 1977.
I was thinking of the barping strumpets at 4 22 in Vivladi
used to be popular in the 1970s more so even than the 1790s perhaps

I went out and bought it then

The other one may be Bivladi's Gloria
the one I cant find now had them going at it like they were on amphetamine ( armchair choir or someone)
SO noisy and trumpetty - that I love the duet at the end - now my servant sleeps .....
gloria - this one
jesus they are going at it like they have a train to catch of something
