Togo's thread reminded me of how much I miss John Peel - the sheer volume (ahem) of new music he introduced me to was staggering ... everything from Cream to The Pistols to The Smiths to Joy Division to some quite staggering electronica.

Indeed Ellipsis - I seem to remember him playing it several times back-to-back when it was first released :)

I'll post this c'us Peel liked them ( even though I didn't ).
His "Festive 50" was always eagerly awaited. Amazing how it changed as new music replaced the dinosaur prog band which he absolutely hated, as he didn't believe that any sort of technical ability was necessary in rock 'n' roll.
