can anyone recommend any female pianists like Fiona Apple, Norah Jones and Venessa Carlton to go on a similarly themed mini disc i'm making for a journey tomorrow? song titles would be useful if they're absolute classics of that artist

Beverley Craven was quite popular in the late 80's/early 90's. Her most famous song was her first single 'Promise Me'. Two of her albums are 'Beverley Craven' and 'Love Scenes'.

thanks 'flirty', that bev craven song is cool. and thanks debx although i was gonna put that one anyways (great minds think alike).
Have you tried Aimee Mann? 'Save Me' is a good track to start with.
Proof if it were needed that Kate Bush, surely the best and the original, really needs to put some more material out, if a question about female pianists doesn't even get her a mention! Personally, I always favour Love and Anger from This Woman's Work, but with La Bush it's always going to be genius no matter what you pick!
