If you are downloading music for free, then it's not legal. You should be buying it from a source where the composer and perforner will receive royalties from their creation.

There are quite a few 'legal' download sites you can use.Soundclick offer totally free downloads (mainly from new or not well known artists), and you will find that many (and I mean many) artists offer free mp3 downloads on their own websites. Some are just 'clips' where you can sample their music but there are also lots of full versions as well, it's simply a question of trawling through the artists that you like. Try 'Third Coast Music' too, loads of links here, mainly 'Country' orientated.
