Am looking forward to it hugely myself. It'll be interesting to see how well it goes down with today's record buying public. Obviously there's a lot of us, probably in our mid-thirties and older, who will go ape for it, but I wonder if it will resonate with younger people. I'm not trying to be patronising here either!
I think "King of the Mountain" is a real grower - give it a few spins and I think you'll get into it more and more. It's also a song that builds over the course of the song, rather than giving an instantly gratifying big chorus.
Interestingly (or not) the keyboard sound at the beginning of the track is identical to a splendid track called "Cage" on 'h's' (aka Steve Hogarth of Marillion) 1998 solo album 'Ice Cream Genuis', which builds to a similar kind of ending. Apparently it's a pre-set on a Kurtzweil keyboard.
