Been at the P2P networks, have we? ;-)

Am looking forward to it hugely myself. It'll be interesting to see how well it goes down with today's record buying public. Obviously there's a lot of us, probably in our mid-thirties and older, who will go ape for it, but I wonder if it will resonate with younger people. I'm not trying to be patronising here either!

I have always said that Kate Bush is one of the very few musicians to whom the word 'genius' can be legitimately applied.

It's just a shame that she refuses to do any interviews in support of her albums.

She has done an interview; Mojo December edition.

Can't wait to hear the album....

I heard another track on the radio this morning. I don't often buy music, but I will be getting Aeriel. (Age 32)
Good to see her comeback being so successful too. A nice high chart placing (no. 4) for the single - not that you can put too much weight on a chart that allows a bunch of drippy simpering karaoke monkeys to have 13 number ones - and my crystal balls (the talk of many a party) are predicting a number 1 placing for the album when it comes out next week.
Thanks entropy - at the time of writing, I hadn't seen or bout the latest Mojo - I've done both now!
She's also going to be interviewed on the Mark Radcliff radio programme on radio 2.... Not sure when (sorry)...

Fletch,Waldo and Andy totally agree with you..

Welcome back kate bush..one of the most original, brave and talented performers this country has ever produced..

And Dave gilmour take a bow for discovering her.

I don't think her new song is much cop though. She sings it very passionless. THe video looks like she doesn't want to be there!

I think "King of the Mountain" is a real grower - give it a few spins and I think you'll get into it more and more. It's also a song that builds over the course of the song, rather than giving an instantly gratifying big chorus.

Interestingly (or not) the keyboard sound at the beginning of the track is identical to a splendid track called "Cage" on 'h's' (aka Steve Hogarth of Marillion) 1998 solo album 'Ice Cream Genuis', which builds to a similar kind of ending. Apparently it's a pre-set on a Kurtzweil keyboard.
