Inez & Charlie Foxx had a hit in 1969.

Not too sure if this was the original, but the song Mockingbird by Inez Foxx got to No 33 in February 1969.

There was also a song called Mockingbird Hill by a London band called the Migil Five that got to No 10 in March 1964.

I assume it's Inez and Charlie Foxx, as they wrote it, but I seem to recall Carly Simon doing an early version too.
Inez Foxx and her brother Charlie did have the original hit in 1963. Also charted in 1969 as SeaJayPea says. Covered by just about everyone including James Taylor and Carly Simon - original by far the best. Fabulous song!
