Ah Morning... I once played that on the E flat tenor horn with a brass quartet.
Not allowed now Shoota.......called child abuse.
Pachelbel's Canon in D

Too many to choose a favourite.
The list is very long, and it changes with the mood.
Jeepers, Satie's Gymnopédies makes me miss a time and place I have never been too. Can recommend his Once upon a time in Paris too. Cheer us up with Rhapsody in Blue then. :))

Would it upset anyone if I thought this was a classic. I had relatives
on both sides and they all adopted this. Hitler banned it so I feel it's worth playing as a snub to him.

This - Farandole by Georges Bizet
This was my Fathers favourite:
When I was a young man, before my taste became less 'romantic', I loved this:
However this is rather nice
Mahler's seventh symphony, the finale is breathtaking
this is one of my favourites.

Cavalleria Rusticana or the Humming Chorus(Madame Butterfly)
Captain - thank you so very, very much for that. Tears prickling my eyes as I type. A truly beautiful, poetic piece. Thank you again.X
I have spent an hour playing some of my posts back to "she who must be obeyed". She heard some bits of the pieces I put forward and asked what the whatsit was I doing. So I put the selections on for us late on this afternoon whilst we were having a settle down after a day tidying up the garden etc ready for the dark and cold. Whilst talking about the pieces I found this .......Says it all about Satie really.

" Gnossienne
n. a moment of awareness that someone you’ve known for years still has a private and mysterious inner life, and somewhere in the hallways of their personality is a door locked from the inside, a stairway leading to a wing of the house that you’ve never fully explored—an unfinished attic that will remain maddeningly unknowable to you, because ultimately neither of you has a map, or a master key, or any way of knowing exactly where you stand."
