Quiz Music Intros
hi all,
can anyone explain how I can easily make a recording to play at a quiz night ? this would be 10 music intro's of 10-15 seconds to identify .
no problem choosing the music but is there an easy way of recording these beginnings of songs & then an easy way to store/play ?
thanks .

Are you asking how to chop off the rest of the song so that you only have the intro, sirlearie? If so, I use a programme called Audacity. (Free to download). Songs can be imported into Audacity from your computer (drag and drop). You can then edit the song, and store the intro on either a memory stick or CD.

You've not told us what equipment you'll be using to play the clips. (A CD player of some type, such as a boombox? A laptop feeding into an amplifier? Something else?). It obviously makes a difference, as we don't know whether you want to end up with a CD with all of the intros on or a collection of MP3 files.
You've also not told us where you'll be sourcing the music from. (From your own CD collection? From Youtube? From somewhere else?). Once again, it will make a difference.
Please tell us you start and end points and we can then tell you how to do the bit in between. It might also help to know which software you've already got available to you. (VLC? Audacity? Something else?).
