As a music writer, I have intense conversations with other writers and musicians who utterly disagree with what I think about some artists and songs, and I love exchanging views with them.
Perhaps it comes over as more confrontational in print with a stranger, but I didn't intend it to be so, and I'm sorry if you felt I was just being argumentative for the sake of it - which I absolutely wasn't.

Andy, thank you mate, I clearly overreacted and got a little precious about things, so I too apologise.
My comparison to Suzanne (remember, I'm a non-musician, so me terminology is probably lacking) was based on the general song structure. Take the beat off this track and the guitar off Suzanne, making them both acapella pieces and the flow and pacing of the two songs are strikingly similar, at least to my untrained ear.
