Freezing Saturday afternoon so we are warm watching Banned Songs by the BBC that were on BBC 4
I always thought Lola by the KINKS was about a prostitute , it was about a transvestite although it was banned for that, it was because it originally contained the words Coca Cola ??
It's really worth a watch , the BBC 'banned' all the Death Songs like Tell Laura I love her and Johnny Remember Me
I want your Sex by George Michael

Apparently Ray Davies had to cross the Atlantic to dub in Cherry Cola, because the BBC wouldn't play it with Coca Cola mentioned.
That George Michael song is by a long way my favourite of his, but is never on the radio.
Yet they play things like "I wanna sex you up" , "lets talk about sex"
