Just listening to the above today,and wonder does anyone know what specific "struggle",this is about? I know its in relation to Havana,but would be interested to hear more.

Its about a cuban man who finally makes it to america after years of economic and personal struggle in havana.. the paradise he refers to is obviously amerika..

The lyrics don't point out the reason for cubas economic hardship, the embargo that successive us administrations have emposed on his native country for more than 40 years..
