I believe it would be fair to say, I feel bewildered!
And I wonder why I'm here today, and so you should, I would.
Just downloaded the new album and it is pretty much what I expected it to be.
Like time was frozen from where they left off, slowed down a bit and reflections and present day thinking.
I am hoping that this album isn't a "farewell" ...they've still got it, carry on!
I haven't listened to the whole album yet, but I will. I was a big fan and have liked what I've heard so far, very definitley still the Abba sound. Sadly, I think most of the music world has moved on and there may not be room for them.
I loved them but I am a little "tired" of their songs now as I know them all, you know same old same old. And I absolutely loathed their films Mama Mia and Mama Mia again (whatever it was)
I also went to their musical in London and hated it, perhaps that was because the previous night I had been to see Mary Poppins now that was incredible. So Abba (wearisome) well for me.
Funny and a good thing that were all different, I love the Abba films and have seen the stage show three times. Always come out feeling good. Never tire of their music, or many other artists, I like that the songs are very familiar - not that I don't find some newer music pleasant too but these days not so much.
Personally, I don't mind listening to Abba's music but I'm not going to go out of my way to do so. So I've not heard the album and, with the exception of those tracks that get airplays on the radio stations I listen to, I doubt that I ever will.
never a fan really, but i appreciate the work that went into what abba became, all i remember is women dancing round handbags, but as long as they enjoyed and had fun so be it, more a heavy rock fan myself.
