Can anyone remember a song that started each verse with those words? At least, I think it was 'Monica'... it may have been 'Jessica' or something else that ended in '-ca'.

'70s, I think.

Too early maybe, 1966

This sprang to mind when I ran Monica Monica through my head!

Hope it's the one!
This one?

or this one.
Could that have been a Bachelors song ?
reason I did not name my daughter Monica ???
There was a Monica Rose on the Hughie Green show around
1966 ~ another reason I didn't call my daughter Monica
(called her Veronica ~ really should have been Carol, she
was born on Christmas Day) lol
Perhaps Veronica

My favourite auntie is called Veronica, but she hates it, so she's always been my auntie Ron.
I also have a swathe of Veronica plants in my garden, as I love true blue flowers.

Yes - Pamela Pamela it is! Thank you!
You're welcome.
Wow, that's quite amazing, first answer, only two minutes after the question was asked, and the OP got the decade wrong and the "-ca" wrong! Well done, Mamya!
It was the mention of repetition that took me to that one first.
