There is a piano solo piece, in a ragtime style, also used extensively on Bargain Hunt and Four in a Bed. It is definitely in a modern, post 1950s style. It was used in a recent Bargain Hunt where Natasha Raskin Sharp was presenting a programme with a royal, commemorative theme (WI ladies eating scones!). I would love to get this sheet music for my partner's up-coming birthday. Help, does anyone know what this piece could be?? I have trolled the music of Motteram, but can't find this piece, so it must be by someone else.
Have you played some of Ethan Uslan's videos on YouTube?
I have played a few to see if they morph into what I would call suitable background music for BH - e.g.
Hi. Thanks everyone for your help. I have indeed managed to pinpoint the eposode on I-Player (however, it will be removed by Thursday).
It is SERIES 53: EPISODE WESTPOINT 12.
I can't get my version of Spotify to indentify it. Can anyone out there help?
David
Hi, 'The Winner'. Yes, this is indeed the episode, but I can't find any reference to identify the piece of music. Can you all listen to it (right at the opening)- please see who can be the first to identify this charming piece of piano rag music.
David
well done Tuvok. On here it's all about teamwork, and together we make a great team. I think as its incidental music though, its highly unlikely that sheet music for this piece will be available.
What a great site! You have all been marvellous. I have tried to 'mark as best answer', but don't feel this is fair. I do thnk that you, 'The Winner' have done most to help, so (while poor as the proverbial church mouse) if you have a favourite charity, I would be willing to offer a modest payment to them, if you let me know what that would be. Looks like I can't obtain a print of this music, but at last I know what it is!
Many thanks and best wishes,
David
David, that was a kind offer, but not necessary, this is a question and answer site and we love to help. Hope your partner enjoys your very thoughtful present.
