Song Heard In Starbucks, Glasgow Airport, 6.00Am!!
This is a long shot but here goes! Heard a song just after Starbucks opened in Glasgow Airport one morning at about 6.00am whist waiting for my Flat White, so no sleep, in that weird pre-flight headspace etc etc. tried everything on the internet to identify it but no luck and I'm usually good at this kind of thing! and it's driving me daft!
So here goes!
Soulful, acousticy pop song, might have had a subtle brass section, bit country, male singer who sounded of a similar ilk to James Morrison, Ray LaMontange, Damian Rice etc but less whiney (nice voice with a subtle rasp to it). If Nick Lowe was a younger man it's classy enough that he could have written it. The snippet of lyric I definitely remember was "Oh Morina" or "Oh Marina" which was repeated throughout. It was a love song I suppose, probably last 10/15 years or so but with a classic vibe.
Thanks for giving it a go!!
