Does anyone remeber a song from the mid 80's that started 'um dada um dodo um dada um do' - its a long shot I know! I think it was mostly instrumental.

Just to help you all, you don't need the apostrophe after the 80 in 80's - in fact, it should actually be '80s. The apostrophe is used to denote possession, not the plural - so music from the 1980s, but 1980's music.
