Peter - to be accurate, they fell out with me.
I attended the Acoustic Area for a couple of years, I covered the festival for Acoustic Magazine.
I was backstage as usual, chatting with Glen Matlock, when the guy who books the bands for the area sent the Stage Manager, a friend of mine, to request the return of my backstage pass.
Someone had told him I was a journalist and he assumed I was trawling for scandal, and didn't have the courtesy to enquire with me personally, or remember how tightly controlled back stage access is at Glastonbury.
The Stage Manager was embarrassed to confirm that without my pass, once I left the area, I would not be readmitted.
I left the site, and will never return.
I am a patient and professional person, I will not be treated like that by anyone, ever.
