is it possible to transfer casettes to cd,s and if so what software is required, when the cd is complete are the different tracks on the cd similar to those on the casette
Yes it is possible. I have successfully transferred my old tapes on cds. I first connected the headphone plug from my tape deck to the sound card of my laptop computer with an audio cable (got it in dixons). Then using Music Match software I selected the input device to be the sound card then selected the automatic 2second gap to detector to find the end of one song and the start of another and just pressed play on the tapedeck and record on the laptop.
After the tapes were finished I had to rename them on the laptop. Then I burn them onto the cd.
Cumbersome but well worth it in the end.
I did this about 2 years ago to all my old tapes...so maybe there is a better system now ?
OOPS maybe it was the headphone socket on the tapedeck to the mic on the laptop.....It was two years ago....just play around with them in any way ....one of them definitley works! ..sorry for the confusion.
i just play the tape, cassette player being plugged into the same amp as the CD recorder and record using my pioneer CD R. can do the same with mini disc. my other half is manager of a hi-fi shop so if u have any questions...
