Did anyone watch last night? I thoroughly enjoyed it and thought that our music industry is looking good for the next year or two, a lot of excellent bands on show. I thought that the live acts were good, KT Tunstall and Kanye West stealing the show, but I also enjoyed Paul Wellers set, especially since 'town called malice' was the first single I bought. Any opinions.

I never ever watch awards shows of any kind, but from the line-up, it's apparent that British music in particular is in a healthy state, which is always good to see.

I'm particularly pleased for KT Tunstall who has spit in the eye of the record company execs who told her she wouldn't get a deal because she is over twenty-five. Someone had better tell Ray Davies, The Stones, BB King, and yes indeed Paul Weller, that it's time for them to start tilling the allotment!

The highlight for me were Coldplay. Best album, best single. In particular, the Micheal Bolton lyric he slipped in...for Moyles. What an excellent night of great Music.

I thought the Gorillazs and the kids were excellent at the end of the show.Coldplay were Excellent to.(:)

I though the show was excellent.I would not call myself a fan of either Prince or Kanye West (I loved the ladies in gold), but thought both of their live sets stole the show. Also good to see Paul Weller get the recognition he deserves.Personally, I would liked to have seen Antony & The Johnsons or Hard Fi, pick up an award, but there's always next year.

Its a shame they could not persuade Kate Bush to put in a live performance.

yes enjoyed it - nice to see a wide range of music (unlike the Grammys) and artists on show. Loved Prince! reminded me of my childhood but really appreciated his guitar playing skills! it just shows how genuinely good his tunes are - classic, interesting and skillful pop! agree that British music is on good form.
I didnt watch the Brits, unfortunately i was "tied up" at the time, although i was listening to what was going on backstage on radio 1 on the day of the brits-how funny was that! Poor lil Katie Mehlua...anyway, yep i totally agree, the Brits music is definately leading the field at the moment, and there wasnt one act that won an award that i dont like- lovin' it!
Yes Ned, Prince . why was he there? Nobody seems to know why they got him in for the Brits... never mind, he was brilliant! loved it.
award shows suck, all that bum lickin and boring thank u's.havimg said that just caught a bit of prince.never thought much of him but what a fantastic performance.

I thought it was marvellous that Madonna won for 'Best International Female' and she managed to get all the way to the stage without the use of a Stannah Stairlift.

(No seriously - I love the woman).

The Brits is just about the only awards show I do watch (apart from the comedy awards). I agree that British music is in good shape at the moment. Just one grumble - the mighty Arcade Fire nominated for three international awards and failing to win any of them. Bah!
i cant believe arcade fire didnt win, im not being harsh but it was slightly predictable that greenday were going to win ,it is the brit awards like any award show the results are predictable. Arcade fire didnt win a grammy either they deserved it !
