I just read the AB ed's blog and am a bit confused.

Chris Martin made regerence to the fact that ..."you won;t be seeing us for a long time ..." and the media jumped on it, and declared that Codplay were splitting. Such is the impact of their sales worldwided, that shares in their parent record company EMI dropped on the stockmarket.

The good news for EMI, and their fans, is that the band are not proposing to split, but maybe lower their media profile a little. They are looking at recording new material when their touring commitments finish.
