A tune from about 1977-78ish (I think) with the line 'Only you gave the love that I thought I could never find', with a later hook of 'I just can't find the answers to the questions that keep running through my mind'.

I thought it was David Cassidy or the Partridge Family but no luck yet....here's hoping AB'ers !

Second hook sounds a bit like Everyone's Talkin by Harry Nielson and covered more recently by The Beautiful South. What style of music are we talking about ? That might narrow it down a bit.
