When my time's up, the songs I'd like played at my funeral are The Great Gig In The Sky and High Hopes by Pink Floyd, Stairway To Heaven by Led Zeppelin and Meditation by Massenet (if there's enough time!) Which songs would you like played at your funeral? I'm not being morbid, just interested!

How about 'Funeral For A Friend' by Elton John? Played as the camera pans over the dead bodies at the end of Blackadder II (according to my brother.)
I'm Sticking With You (Cos I'm Made out of Glue)
Well why i go out i'm being cremated and i have this written down as my requests. As the punters are walking in to the place it's Please don't bury me by John Prine as the coffin is going in it's to be Welcome to the machine by Pink Floyd and as everyone is leaving Smoke gets in your eyes by the Platters. I hope i can give someone a chuckle in death even if i can't do it while i'm hear but these are serious request not just written in for fun.
I'd like 'You Were Always On My Mind' - the Willie Nelson version - there won't be a dry eye in the church!
I'll be cremated too and will have

Disco Inferno for when the coffin goes in

Ashes to Ashes as its being burnt

Return to Sender when the deed is done.

Good choice NJ - Great Gig In The Sky would be my No. 1 choice as well. Very powerful and moving track. Spooky that you asked this question, I was thinking about this very topic a couple of days ago. Sad but true. Another idea I had was Child In Time by Deep Purple.
Would have to include Sid Vicious' version of My Way and maybe something really bizarre like "I lost my heart to a starship trooper" - that'd be a talking point for a few years.
How about "Exit Music" by Radiohead.
I am trying to decide between Dont you forget about me by Simple Minds, Happy Talk by captain sensible, The sun has got his hat on hip hip hip hooray or Ever fallen in love with someone by The Buzzcocks. Decisions Decisions!!!!!!
Sally MacLananne by the Pogues
Im torn between the countdown tune as the coffin disappears behind the curtains or a full on weep fest induced by 'be ready to go' by Unbelievable Truth. (sorry, bands only fan speaking)
Well, if I'm to be cremated I think it will have to be 'Burn Baby Burn' by Ash. Another possiblity would be 'Spirit in The Sky' the version by Doctor and the Medics or 'Going Underground' by The Jam.
I hope you live long enough to hear songs written in the future that you can choose for yourself.
I want either Simon or Everything by Lifehouse, probably Everything, because it's such a moving song. Have a listen!
