90's indie - who sang this????

this has been bugging me for 15+ years.

i remember some mellow, grungey, psychedelic type group doing a cover of st.etienne's "only love can break your heart", in about 1990/91. i wondered about galaxie 500, mega city four, spacemen 3 , but not sure if its any of them. i may have heard it on john peel, cant remember. but it was top! any ideas who it was? ta

This song is not st ettiennes. Written and originally recorded by Neil Young there have been many covers ranging from Everlast, to the Corrs. Its a classic!!
