A few months ago i read in a newspaper supplement about a few websites that recommend bands to you based on your others you like. You input the name of a band and a few suggestions come up for other bands you may like....often they are relatively unknown bands. I can't remember the name of the sites they mentioned, there were about 3 of them Does anyone know the sort of think i mean?

Thanks matey Pandora site is excellent, it recommended a few bands im already into but has introduced me to a couple ive never heard of. Great stuff.

http://www.cdbaby.com/ is a fun place.

mkt- with Pandora, once you have tried it for a few days, you will find it then states that you can only carry on using it if you live in the USA, due to some copyright laws.

The only check for this is that you need to input your zip code. USA zip codes are 2 "state" letters, then 5 digits. I've found something like LA 70418 or similar tends to work ok ;-)

I just tried your link to pandora . Great site i must say its now on my favourites , i will bear in mind the zip code tip as i intend to use it more . CHEERS .

Anyone tried soundclick.com ? unsigned bands site some good stuff there & some crap plus free legal mp3 downloads .
