MALE artist called maralyn?

this is a question about a male artist, a bit like 'boy george', (as in he used to wear make up when he performed.)

i think he's from 80's era, musically. or he may even be from early 90's. i'm not too sure about the year. i think that's the way you spell his name too. but that's his name.

i think he only had 1, maybe 2 hits, (records)

does anyone know what the names of any of his records were?

Marilyn, a good friend of Boy George. His biggest hit was 'Calling Your Name' in 1983. Can't think of any others.

I remember Marilyn. He was around in the mid-80's and was a bit of a Boy George copycat. He had a short-lived career and two of his singles were 'Calling Your Name' & 'Moving Together'. He dropped the androgeny in the late 80's and his career flopped after that.

He had big drug problems and resurfaced a few yeras later trying to be taken seriously with dreadlocks and all that.
He looked very rough and just looked like some builders mate called Pete Robinson.
Probably still hanging around leeching off the talents of others ( or he has moved back home to his mums like Steve Strange did!)

Hi a few months back there was a programme on channel 4 called What Ever Happend To. Marilyn was one of the featured artist very interesting look out for it, its bound to be repeated on sky or cable tv.
