V festival help...

Hello, me and my sis are going to V just for the Saturday at Chelmsford this year. We've left it stupidly late to find any hotels or B&B's near the area and the nearest camp sites are miles away. We don't drive so my question is has anybody got any idea when the headline act will finish? I really really don't want to miss Radiohead but at this rate it looks like we're going to have to get the train about 10pm!
Or does anybody know if there is any way that you can camp over night on the site if you are only going for a day?

Have you tried looking for hotels or b&b's in other towns apart from Chelmsford? Basildon is not that far away and about �20 in a cab or Brentwood or Billericay or Stock. I think if you only go for the day you can't camp on site, at least that's what I remember from reading on the official website last year: www.vfestival.com

The last act would probably finish at about 10.30 - 11pm.

Hi thank you for that Eash, after much festival forum searching last night though i came across V camping, which is a site right next door to the festvial on a farm site. Apparently quite a lot of people prefer camping here as the facilites are nicer? It's only �22.50 for 3 nights camping, and i emailed them yesterday and they said it's fine if you've only got a day ticket, you can still stay on their site for the weekend.
If any body has stayed here though could they let me know if it's alright?
