Old 60s 70s Lps + 45s

I have a few boxes of 60s 70s LPs and 45s that i need to sell for my Gran who has had to go into a home. I was going to put them on Ebay for her (she gave me a very confused look when i told her that, never seen a PC in her life) but i want to make sure we dont sell them for pittance if they might be worth something. Does anyone know of a website etc for checking these out?

..your better off going to a small indipendant record shop...have a look in yellow pages and give them a ring to see if they are interested...

I've sold vinyl records on ebay and found the very best place to find a true value is ebay itself ......... search your own titles in completed sales to see how much they have sold for......... you can also check out the desrciption of the ones that sold for the most which will help you when you come to list yours. Remember to be 100% honest when desrcibing the condition ...... never use the word 'mint' unless you honestly know it has never been played and kept in pristine conditon (Ultra rare) If the albums and covers are in good condition you may do very well, vinyl collectors are quite active at the moment :-) ........... You must have better record dealers where you live ermintrude, the ones around here are as honest as antique dealers .......... they come and cherry pick your collection and offer you a pitance for them.

Blimey ermintrude I can't believe that place is still going ..... back in the 70's I must of bought a stack albums mail order from that place .......... Only been to Porthmadog once, it was very wet and after spending ages putting my rain gear back on (I was a on motor bike) I then had to undo it all again to pay a few pence on a toll road ....(or was it a bridge or even a tunnel??...... well it was in the 70's) ........ Oh happy days :-)

...heehee yes the 5p toll for the "cob" road, they only abolished that a couple of years back...yup, cob records still going strong, but it's hayday was definatly during the 70s...
