Not the one by Level 42! this one was out in around 1983/4 and included the lyrics:

'I can't believe its over, I can't believe it's true' and 'There's plenty more fish in the sea for me'

It's kind of a jazz funk/dance tune. My friend & I are going slowly insane trying to remember...

Was this on the radio today or something pippa because quite bizzarely i too was only wondering this myself today having not even thought about it for 20 years!
I have Bow Wow Wow in mind but i know its not them - it was a girl singer with a kinda high pitched voice.
In the style of Teena Marie or Stacey 'Jump to the beat' Lattislaw.

Hi gary,

No I didn't hear it today ~ in fact I haven't heard it in about 20 years myself! how odd...it just popped into my head. You are right, the singer had a voice very similar to Stacey & Teena.

I am thinking it is a really odd name for a band though, which is probably why I am having difficulty. I will probably wake up with a start in the middle of the night & shout the name out..

Could it be 'Casanova' by Coffee - it's all over Casanova, it's all over Casanova, it's all oveeeerrrrrrr?
"It's Over" by Funk Masters?
Pippa
- give Suzyboo 3 stars (give her 4 !)

suzy you are an angel!
Youve made an old (ish) man very happy!
Didnt realise it was Juliet Roberts on vocals either.

Oooooh it's a pleasure to give her stars, gary! I have also given you some & a star to spudqueen because even though I knew it wasn't Casanova by Coffee she took the trouble to post & I am now in a very good mood :o)

Hurrah!
